today beginning at 15:00 on the penultimate day of work before the winter holidays, tomorrow at 17:00 are on vacation. I have a totally free weeks, followed by another with reduced shifts and some bank closing. I think I will return home on Tuesday or Wednesday, and I have yet to decide whether to do so by car or train. Until yesterday I was oriented towards the first option, except that yesterday in the evening has begun to snow again this morning and there are good 20 cm of snow everywhere. As already stated, there are well organized against the snow (God forbid), but it is not the case that put me in the street to 300 km if things do not improve. If it does not snow more until Tuesday, as provided by the weather, I think I will travel by car.
The holiday program is to spend some 'quality time with family and friends, make a couple of charges and rest. The last period was a little 'and painful at the University of hours of work that has increased slightly, so I really needed to pull a bit'. I have already started to buy gifts, and hope to end tutto lunedì in giornata, anche se sarò vittima della ressa natalizia, che qui non è certo migliore che in Italia, considerato il fatto che in questo periodo il centro è assaltato anche da numerose comitive di turisti, soprattutto italiani. Per fare un esempio, ho letto un articolo sul giornale la settimana scorsa, dove si analizzava il grande afflusso nei centri commerciali, che erano aperti per l'8 Dicembre. Al centro commerciale Atrio a Villach ( 35 km da qui, in direzione Italia ) hanno calcolato che quasi un terzo delle macchine nell'immenso parcheggio erano italiane.
Da un paio di mesi, sto prendendo in considerazione diversi auto-regali da farmi per Natale, ma alla fine non ho ancora comperato niente, e non credo che lo farò, a meno che non resti fulminato da qualcosa. Mi piacerebbe acquistare un telefonino Android, per sostituire il mio malridotto Motorola ( ereditato dal papà ), ma per il momento costano ancora troppo. Si stanno affacciando sul mercato alcune soluzioni più economiche, ma spesso sono difficili da reperire e/o di marche sconosciute, quindi preferisco aspettare un altro po' e tenermi informato in merito.
Il regalo più bello, sarebbe trovare un appartamento decente, ma nell'ultimo periodo, devo dire la verità, mi sono dato gran poco da fare, sia per pigrizia, sia perchè non ho trovato niente di interessante nelle inserzioni. Nel frattempo, ad inizio gennaio mi verrà assegnata una stanza nuova qui allo studentato, nell'ala che è stata ristrutturata negli ultimi sei mesi. Queste stanze nuove hanno la cucina all'interno, cosa che per alcuni aspetti è positiva, ma per altri un po' meno. Peccato che per farci stare la cucina, abbiano rimpicciolito ulteriormente il bagno, ed optato per una soluzione che odio: doccia con la tenda! Mah, vedremo... Quando mi trasferirò posterò alcune foto della stanza nuova.
Nel frattempo, vi consiglio un altro film che ho visto l'altra sera, e che ho trovato parecchio divertente: Benvenuti al Sud , con Claudio Bisio. E' la storia di un Milanese "convinto" che, per lavoro, è costretto a passare due anni in un paese in provincia di Napoli. Diverse scene fanno veramente ridere, ma visto nell'insieme, il film mi ha fatto anche un po' pensare.
